Microimage: Powering the Digital Transformation of HR with Microimage HCM Cloud

“We want to help organizations overcome today’s workplace and workforce management challenges by delivering a compelling digital talent management experience to all stakeholders,” says industry veteran, Harsha Purasinghe, Founder and CEO of Microimage HCM.
Start-Up Success
With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Mr. Purasinghe ventured out as a college start-up in 1993 along with a few college mates who are still involved in the business. As time went by, in 1995 Microimage was incorporated as a full-fledged company and established itself as the most successful high school start-up story in Sri Lanka.
The company today has transformed into a global human capital management software solutions provider with operations spanning various geographies. In Asia Pacific, where business leaders are taking a very proactive approach to people management, Microimage holds a strong presence.
The company’s first hands-on experience with the HR industry came in 2001 with the announcement of its web-based eHR product. The product evolved over the years, with product upgrades released every four years. Then, in 2014, with the business landscape shifting rapidly to digital processes, the company decided to rewrite the entire product to suit emerging trends.
Digital DNA
After 36 months of engineering, the company’s first ever global digital HR solution Microimage HCM Cloud was launched as a SaaS [Software- As-A-Service] offering. The solution has one of the most compelling user experiences across all functionalities, ranging from Core-HR to Talent Management.
Helping businesses shift from legacy HR systems to digital HR, Microimage provides comprehensive digital human capital management solutions
Comprising an enterprise-grade HR platform delivered with a modern consumer-grade user experience, HCM Cloud also gives talent insights for timely and accurate decision-making, native mobile apps for iOS and Android to empower a mobile-first workforce, as well as being able to enhance employee engagement with collaboration, social and feedback capabilities.
Designed to run on Microsoft Azure Cloud, which is secure, scalable and stable, HCM Cloud has tight integrations to a number of Microsoft products and services. HCM Cloud is currently deployed in Azure Data Centres in the UK, Asia and the Pacific and there are plans to deploy the solution to other key Azure Data Centres across the world as it scales up distribution globally.
The potential for HCM Cloud to deliver realistic and quantifiable ROI to organizations has also been recognized by Microsoft’s APAC operations which recently selected the solution to be showcased at the newly established industry zone at the Microsoft Technology Centre in Singapore.
The solution also enables users to stay current via continuous product updates and delivers a 24x7 employee HR assistant with “Mia” virtual HR assistant powered by BoT technology.
Going Global
HCM Cloud supports country specific legislative and language localization with seamless integration capabilities to other third party systems via secure APIs. This enables companies with regional operations across different territories to leverage the digital functionality of the HCM Cloud platform yet deliver a centrally governed HR solution while adhering to their respective country regulatory framework.
Clients in the sizeable Microimage HCM portfolio include a leading Asia Pacific manufacturer and a major financial services organization, both of which have deployed HCM Cloud across their regional networks for their human capital management underpinned by a centralized policy and governance structure.
Microimage HCM is confident of becoming a leader in the mid-market human resource management space globally with a product offering which is differentiated significantly by delivering a modern digital experience for all user segments. It also leverages Microsoft Azure cloud services for enhanced security, reliability, and exponential scalability. Today, the company is a global “co-sell” ready partner with Microsoft Corporation.
The firm currently has offices in Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Australia and moving forward it wants to expand its portfolio of offerings in North America, Europe, and Middle East and African regions. “We want to continue our journey of creating modern digital HR solutions to overcome challenges emerging from an ever-changing workforce and workplace due to digital disruption.” concludes Purasinghe.
