Two Important Questions and Several Simple Answers!

There is so much literature out there that shed light on and defines the future of work, workplace and the worker in this digital era. When limited by the power of our memory served as experience from past, it is hard to comprehend the magnitude of the change, but when liberated by the power of imagination one can see unlimited possibilities of how the technology can reshape our work place. HR technology infusion in a work place has two distinct change – How People Managers are impacted? and How HR leaders will be influenced?

Let’s start by reviewing the infusion of HR technology into work place for a moment with this simple equation-

Data + Access + Time + Ease = Agile Decision Making

Let’s unpack this equation: Internal and external quality data is now made easily available by the advanced technology.
Access to that data any time, from anywhere and in any form needed is an additional advantage. The ease of navigation and intuitive design of these products ensures super easy user experience reinforcing business leaders to be self-sufficient in making people decisions on time without having the need for a HR interface. If you add the AI component to it – it enables not only an agile decision making, but also an accurate decision making.

    Data + Access + Time + Ease+ AI = Agile + Accurate Decision Making

In this new world - Information is cheap, policies and processes are automated. This informs and shapes - How People Managers are impacted? and how HR leaders will be influenced? Here are a few thoughts to hold on to as we answer these questions. Summing up this angle of discussion, technology brings a truck load of change undoubtedly, adaptive people managers and agile HR leaders can use the technology infusion to better the quality of human interactions and create a work place that is inspired and energized by the new possibilities of value creation and an authentic leadership style.
